Essential Oil of the Day: Black Pepper

Family: Piperaceae
Extraction: Steam distillation of the dried peppercorns
Aroma: Warm and spicy
Characteristics: Clear to pale green - thin liquid.

Contraindications
-May cause skin irritation to sensitive skin

-Do not use if kidney disease is present - over use can cause kidney irritation

Tips for quitting smoking:
Add 3-5 drops of black pepper on a cotton ball and stuff into 5ml amber essential oil bottle (empty, and cleaned). Cap and carry this with you. When you are feeling a nicotine craving, deeply inhale from the cotton-ball bottle. Replenish oils as you notice the smell dissipating.
